In each class, students will be learning many aspects of the Spanish language including communicative skills (listening and speaking), oral and reading comprehension, writing skills, geography of the Spanish-speaking world, history, and culture.  Learning grammar rules and building vocabulary are extremely important during each year of language instruction.
Objectives
Students will be able to recognize, conjugate and use the following tenses of regular and irregular Spanish verbs:
present tense including stem-changing and reflexive verbs
past and imperfect tenses
commands and subjunctive mood
Additionally, students will be able to distinguish and properly use all parts of speech to form questions, idiomatic expressions, as well as comparatives and superlatives in Spanish.  Skits and art/writing projects are examples of additional class assignments.
